Apple’s trackpads are fantastic. I’ve never used one on another laptop anywhere as good. The standalone Apple Trackpads similarly so.
I’m quite amazed that Logitech doesn’t offer a Trackpad with 3 bluetooth radios within its MX Master range.
I love the MX Master 3S and the Master Keyboards. I use both without the Options+ software. A Logi Trackpad which can be switched easily between devices would be a real winner. Do you think that they believe they can’t compete? Or do you think that there may be another reason?
They used to make a touchpad that worked with their Unifying receiver, and they still have the little mini touchpad built into the K400 keyboard. Based on what I’ve seen of those, I don’t know that I’d consider them any sort of real competition for Apple’s. I’m wondering if they just don’t see it as a viable market segment, given they used to have one and discontinued it?
It’s interesting that even Microsoft - which has solid trackpads in their laptops - doesn’t make an external version.
