Are there any other software besides the following in which we can write notes every day in automatically created note for that day? It should also have a calendar with clickable dates to jump to notes on that day.
Agenda is great for this kind of thing (it’s the first thing I thought of when I read his post), as is Obsidian, but OP said not either of those. Funny because most of what they have ruled out is actually great for this kind of thing.
Agenda isn’t necessarily a diary app; it won’t give you suggestions on what to write, but I’ve been using it as a daily notes app and general information storage app for a while now and it seems to work just fine. It’s also really easy to search and the search results are easy to scroll through to find what you’re looking for even on the phone.
That doesn’t surprise me. I journal and use daily notes in Obsidian, but I wouldn’t group it the way it is above as an app designed specifically for keeping a digital diary, along with Diarly and Day One.
I’ve been using Agenda to record meeting notes with various people. I have one project for my elderly parents’ healthcare. Every time I take either parent to a doctor’s visit, I can review meeting notes, significant events, or changes in health issues.
I have another Agenda project for a real estate project that’s slowly grinding along.
It’s a great app where I separate notes for different projects. Then I can do a search for a word in a specific project if needed.
For a future appointment, I can create an Agenda note scheduled for that day. In the note, I create possible issues that needs to be discussed during the meeting.
All this is doable in n Agenda as well as the apps listed in the first post.
Was there something about the apps listed in the first post that the OP doesn’t like?
