Count me in the 50% who can’t find the right notes app for my work. I’ve gone back to Notion as of today. The biggest “gap” I’m trying to fill is the notes I take with Apple Pencil (maybe 15% of the meetings I have?). I need/want those to be converted to text (or remain handwriting but be searchable).
From my experience with Notion thus far, the first option (OCR to text) is the way to go.

On the Apple side, a Shortcut scans my folder for items with a blank “Embedded Text” field, downloads the attached images, OCRs them, and then uploads the OCR text into the Embedded Text field.
Since I’d probably rather have shortcut running than a 24/7 Docker container (on each computer), I thought I’d see if anyone else is solving this problem and, if so, in what way?
