Odd new email behavior - Spark and Mail apps

Well maybe not necessarily the apps, but I’ve noticed a recent and obvious change in junk mail filtering. This could be happening on the server side too, but I’ve been scratching my head on how to fix it. Maybe a week or so ago, I started seeing a lot more junk mail in my inbox. And it is real obvious stuff with senders like, “HO RRifYING footage” and “Lose weight now” that were previously and easily relegated to the spam folder on the server side. I’m using live (aka outlook) for my main email address.

The funny thing is that these emails are being caught in the filter on the server side. If I log into the MS web client, the emails aren’t there in my inbox. Somehow they do show up in my inbox on my phone (Mail) or Macbook (Spark). What gives?

The problem could be the MS spam filters. Have you tried enabling junk mail filtering in Apple Mail and leaving “Trust junk mail headers in messages” selected?
