Old Mac Photo (a diversion)

I was going through some old technical journals looking for some to discard (I have a hard time getting rid of old technical journals) and I came across the November 1988 (yes, I am old) edition of IEEE Network Magazine (Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers). And the full color cover was this, although not a single article in the magazine was about the Mac.

Here are photos of my original 128k Mac, purchased in 1984. Subsequently upgraded to 512K, Mac Plus, and an external hard drive (no more disk swapping!). Still had the original box and documentation when I parted with it.

I’m really old!

 I got my Mac 128 in 1985. Then upgraded to 512. Then either to Classic or SE (can’t remember).

Just feel I needed to supply a soundtrack to these diversions from 1984. Here are eight of them, suitably numbered from 0 to 7. This track—which makes use of the CMI Fairlight in ways the manufacturer probably never could imagine—was a huge influence for me at the time.
