My uncle, age 94, just upgraded this weekend from the iPhone 5 to iPhone 7.
I suspect my cousins just upgraded him to their secondhand phone. I think he just uses the phone for voice calls.
I am still using my iPhone 3GS, it works ok, and always works when I need it.

My dad is 96 and is like a teenager with his phone. My mom told him he couldn’t bring it to the kitchen table a year ago. He has a 6Plus, I think.

That is the best thing I’ve heard all day! What does he like to do on the phone?
He mainly reads the news. Checks his emails. Checks the stock market. Sometimes he listens to stuff (although I have no idea what).
He has a new iPad and a Macbook Air but he oddly prefers his phone.
