What do you guys think in terms of differences between the c1 and tadpole. I see macsparky is really into the c1 but it seems sold out so maybe the tadpole will do. I would be using it with my xdd display.
Any recommendations welcome.
Just a question - do you need it now? Demand is high for lots of things this time of year. I would consider contacting them and finding out if they expect a restock anytime in the near future.

No I don’t really need it now but I have the feeling the C1 will get an update soonish. The Tadpole may be good enough.
Didn’t @MacSparky recently say on the Holiday Gift Guide that the quality on the Opal was never very good and he ditched it in favour of a DSLR type camera for video instead?

Yes, I seem to recall in the episode that both David and Stephen noticed overheating and reliability issues
I ordered a tadpole an hour ago. Hope it’s any good. FWIW you do not need the software for that one it seems.
