When I’ve been running lately I’ve just been listening to a shuffled playlist through my Apple Watch (a mish-mash of everything from James Brown to The Statlers to Paula Abdul; don’t judge me).
At the end of my route is a very steep hill up the bluffs. It’s an 11% grade and I’ve only made it up without stopping once and never at the end of a longer run. I spent most of my run psyching myself up for making it this time.
As I got to the base of the hill my watch shuffled up a new song.
Yep. The theme from ‘Rocky’.
I made it to the top.
