Lately in Overcast there will be a 2-3 second delay between episodes. All these episodes are downloaded to the device, but it just gives me a spinning wheel where the “play” button normally would be.
Any ideas as to what could be causing that? This is an iPhone 11, so it’s not a slow old phone. 
Are you using Smart Speed or Voice Boost? It may be pre-calculating/caching some of the audio before starting it up.
That’s a solid theory, actually - I could try turning it off and see if the problem continues.
It wouldn’t explain why it just started doing it recently, though. I know my smart speed / voice boost settings haven’t changed, but this weird behavior has appeared.
Either way, I’ll check into it next time I have a couple episodes queued up. Thanks!
