I saw there were two previous threads from 2019 about this, so I’m wondering if anyone has the low-down on 2020? I don’t own a TV and I really don’t want to get a large TV screen to permanently mount on a wall for a variety of reasons. But the idea of a palmtop (or slightly larger) projector really appeals to be because on those rare occasions where I do want to watch a movie, it would be nice to have a screen larger than my Macbook Pro or even my second monitor. I do have free walls in my place.
Reviews online have been mixed to bad so I’m really confused as to how to evaluate or choose something. Budget would be less than $1000, but ideally less than $500. However, I would consider going into the 500-1000 range if the jump in quality is substantial.
