Next time I’ll be more cautious buying from a new dev. At least this should have communicated to users. people find out when app certs change…same as Bartender lol
God dammit. I just bought it a few months ago too based on @MacSparky 's recommendation.
The app is going subscription now for sure based on the new company’s history.
David - I would mention this in the next MPU for awareness.
Tired of these devs not informing their users of changes. Just a simple notification in the changelog or something for crying out loud.
I would add one condition: a new dev who starts by advertising his app(s) aggressively on r/MacApps.
True. I remember seeing so many threads that even I posted on the Mac apps subreddit about why this app is being aggressively marketed. It seems like the dev already had something in mind. He just wanted to make something out of it and sell it to somebody else. Good for him I guess.
Next time, I am going to make sure that if I buy an app, I definitely look at their past apps dev behavior.
Price jumped up today. Doesn’t look like it’s gone subscription yet.
I tried to launch it a few days ago and it wouldn’t load. I actually couldn’t remember why I bought it, so I deleted it when it wouldn’t work.
