So this is a new one. I am in my masters program for Education and turns out my school has no understanding on how people use Microsoft Word in the way they design my template (tables within tables) or how Word operates. I ran into this bug that has transcended multiple devices. Individual lines of text default to different languages. One line will be in Italian, the next will be in German, the next will be in Portuguese.
I moved it over to Apple Pages because the tables are much easier to format. Apple Pages crashed on my MacBook (I have 24 gigs of Ram) the document was so graphically intense.
Finally I tried Google Docs. I tried to adjust said tables to make it centered. The document is now 1170 pages and I have no idea why.
Murphy’s Law struck again.
Sorry just needed to get this off my chest that in the age of AI we still haven’t perfected word processing.
I find the most success with Apple Pages. I uploaded that template to Pages and they refused to do the “table within table” that made me very happy.
I’ve been doing some research about version 15 and Apple has said that if you have a Managed Apple Account which, as far as I can figure out, comes from signing up for Apple Business Manager, then you don’t see the upsell prompts or the big template banners. The other way is using a method that no MDM has implemented yet for macOS.
I agree. If you have to do more than 2 documents in that format and you are allowed to submit PDF files instead of Word files, LaTeX will make it very easy AFTER you spend a few hours or days to create the .tex file template.
Try searching on the internet for LaTeX with the name of your school, name of your Master’s program, and the name of the kind of document you need to make. Someone might have already made a proper class file (read template) for LaTeX.
