Play Sound option missing in Find My

Has anyone noticed that since iOS 18.4.1 Play Sound is missing from Find My? I only noticed today - so it might have gone before. I’ve got a work iPhone and a personal one. My personal is on 18.4.1 my work one is on 18.3.x. I’ve attached screenshots. The first is of my personal phone, the second is my work phone

Everything is signed into the same (and correct Apple ID). Any ideas?

Looks like the OP in this thread is calling “Find My” “Where is”, but it appears others have had a similar problem as yours. Perhaps one of their suggestions might help.

I Have 18.4.1 installed and can still see and use Play Sound on an Airtag

I’d would seem that I forgot the first rule of solving IT problems. I didn’t turn it off and on again :man_facepalming:

I had same issue after I updated to iOS 18.4.1, the Play Sound option had disappeared.

Went into Privacy & Security, Location Services, selected Find My…, changed to never then came out/back in and changed back to While Using and the Play Sound reappeared :+1:
