Play system audio to both parties on FaceTime audio call/MacOS Monterey

Title pretty much sums it up. I would like to be able to share something I want to listen to in my system with the person I’m talking to. Source could be the browser (Edge in my case), Apple Music, or any other audio source. I was looking at setting it up in Audio Hijack, but I’m not quite getting it right. Any ideas?

I do this by using Rogue Amoeba coupled with Loopback. I use Audio Hijack to send the audio I want to share to the Loopback audio device and the headphones I am using. I can also send my microphone to the Loopback device. Then I select the Loopback device as the microphone in FaceTime. Both the person on the call and I can hear the system audio and each other, and I don’t hear myself through the computer.

Thanks for that. I get the gist of what you’re doing reading it. Now I just need to find a little time to try it out.

Sounds like what I’m trying to do. Will make my FaceTime sessions much more productive.
