Praise be! My web browser can now save me from the effort of … browsing the web

Google and Microsoft have stepped in to save me the trouble of browsing for stuff, choosing things and generally exercising my brain.

Google, to be fair, is only going to tell me where to buy stuff, using their AI to sort info from a bunch of ratings sites I’ve never heard of.

Microsoft is going one (or possibly more than one) better - its AI is gonna tell me what I want to look at next, saving me no end of cognitive strain.

O brave new world, with such people in it.

Oh, I did like “Can you skip the life story and get to the recipe?” But Lordy, I don’t need to take the friction out of shopping—I need to take the friction out of keeping my apartment clean.
