Wondering if it is possible to prevent Apple Mail app from marking read a previous email when a mail is deleted or archived.
This option is present in Edison iOS app.
This is on macOS or iOS? On iOS there’s no option when you are within a message. You can swipe to delete from the message list, which will not punt you to the next message (on an iPhone, at least. iPad is a different story). On macOS, you can hold the option key while deleting, or as I prefer, collapse the message preview altogether so no matter what you do you never accidentally mark anything as read!
