Problem With App Installer

I have apps from Topaz Labs. Installing them wasn’t a problem. Now, all of a sudden, their apps won’t install on my new intel Core i7 27-inch iMac. When I run the .dmg file, it opens the window to continue the install. When I click the OPEN button, which is supposed to start the install, nothing happens.

Topaz support tried to help, but the problem is more than they can handle. They are suggesting that something happened after I successfully installed three of their apps in late June and early July. They think it may be a conflict with another installed app, but they say they have never seen this problem before. They’re blaming the installer software they use, called Install Builder. Their only suggestions is to wipe the drive and reinstall everything from scratch, which I’m not willing to do right now, since my machine is working fine otherwise.

The software I’m currently trying to install is Topaz Studio 2. When I click on Check for Updates in Topaz DeNoise AI, it won’t install the update from inside the app.

So far, I have tried everything I know to fix the problem, including trying to install in Safe Mode. Here are some lines from Console which may help to figure out what may be going on. Any help would be appreciated.

This is the system log from when I tried to update DeNoise through the app.

This is why they should be using the standard installer offered for macOS.

If you can point to a download link, I can see if I can extract the app successfully, but there’s no real point in trying to guess what might help on your system.
