I just switched to a M4 MBP from an Intel MBP and one thing I use all the time is a keyboard shortcut I set to add tags in finder.
I configured it properly in Keyboard shortcuts settings, under ‘App Shortcuts’ > Finder.app > Menu Title: “Tags…” and then my shortcut “Shift + Cmd + ;”. After restarting my Mac or relaunching Finder, I am able to use the shortcut one time, literally only ONE time. After that, it won’t work. It’s the weirdest thing! I would love some help from you tremendous people!
I was wondering the same. I’ve noticed some odd behavior with shortcuts on files stored in iCloud Drive versus local folders, too. Sometimes the context menu behaves differently depending on the file’s sync status. Might be worth testing if the issue only happens with cloud-based files.
The problem is with all files — local and cloud. I have been reading that some people are having problems with custom keyboard shortcuts on Sequoia, not sure if that’s the issue.
