I hope this is the correct catetory for this post. I started receiving pop-up messages that my computer was out of hard drive storage and certain apps would no longer run. I looked and saw that the cause was Backblaze. The backblaze/bztransmit folder in my Library took up 256 BG of hard drive space.
This is Backblaze’s response to my support ticket:
“In the meantime, the files in the bztransmit folder can be deleted from the computer. Please do not delete the bztransmit folder itself. Just delete the files in it, which will free up space on your computer.
A new bztransmit log is created each day. We will need to determine the cause of the bloated bztransmit log files in order to prevent them from taking up too much space on the computer once more. So please provide that list of issues so we can see if this trouble is caused by Backblaze having trouble backing up files.”
This is a quick fix while they look at the Issues report I sent them. So, it’s ok to go ahead and delete the files in the bztransmit folder (don’t delete the folder itself).
