Re-open locked Apple note to where I left off?

I have a locked Apple note that I have been writing in a lot over the past few days, but every time I unlock it it’s back at the top and I have to scroll all the way to the bottom, losing my train of thought. Is there a way to have locked notes open to the same location that I left off, the way unlocked notes do?

I don’t use AN much and hope someone else can directly answer your question, but fwiw if I’m writing a journal or something similar in a single note, I add the entries in reverse chronological order so the latest is always at the top.

I’ve been wondering about doing that, but I think it would make the document even more confusing.

Command + up or down arrow will move you to the top or bottom of the note.
