Reading ICS files without adding to calendar?

Is there some app that can read and display the info in an ics-file in user friendly way?
Using Quicklook I just see a graphical representation with just some info,

For various reason I don’t want add these files to my calendar but instead I want to view the info in them and create my own event (with info that makes sense to me).

Well, I don’t know how user friendly you would consider it, but you can open .ics files in a text editor.

It’s not the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen, but it’s fairly easy to understand once you have seen a couple.

You could then either copy/paste out the parts that you want, or (what I do) just edit them to be what you want before you import the .ics file.

I use a text editor for ics or vcs files. I also run a perl script on ics files to remove the organizer info so that they will not get an update when I add to my calendar.
