I am looking for some apps to control my Samsung TV, I have tried AnyMote and for some reason it just would not work. SamRemote was hopeless. If there are Universal remotes that can be controlled on iOS that’s good too.

the Logitech Harmony app works well, but you need the hub to make it work.
I have no experience with the Broadlink solution, but it might be worth checking out
I just use Samsung’s SmartThings app on iOS. Works like a charm for both of our Samsung TVs.
