Recommnedations for a Magnet Adjustable iPad Pro 13” stand?

I am looking for a stand that adjusts vertically and horizontally and swivels to hold my new 13” iPad Pro magnetically. I do not want it to clamp on the edge of a desk; I need it to sit solidly on the surface of a desk. Do you have any recommendations? I appreciate any recommendations you can provide.

It’s not magnetic (I think you’ll need to wait a while for those to appear, as the magnets are arranged entirely differently on the M4 iPads), but I’ve seen this one being recommended previously. It’s still on my wishlist, though; I didn’t get it for pricing, availability, and shipping reasons. It can be used with or without the clamp.

I have said this numerous times, but I have that Twelve South arm and do not recommend it. It does work well if you want to hold an iPad up for FaceTime calls, but if you interact with the iPad at all, it is not great. It is very shaky, the stand is not heavy enough to support moving the iPad too much off center, and the mounting method is difficult to use. To get the iPad in and out takes two hands and even then I always make sure the iPad is over something soft incase I drop it.

I’ve been considering this one:

It looks like it pulls down so you can use it to write on like a notepad without having to take it off the stand. I thought this might be great using Universal Control or with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

I haven’t gotten it yet only because I’m not sure the clamp is compatible with the desk in my home office.

I have this one and it is outstanding. It may not work for @Bmosbacker is it is a clamp but it’s fantastic for anyone wanting a clamp.

That said, the joints are stiff. REALLY stiff! It’s really sturdy and the iPad is held FIRMLY in place. I have to really pull to get it off. I keep it clamped to the shelf next to my futon/bed and it gets used many hours a day. Probably the most useful stand I’ve purchased.

I’ve only had it for a month so it may be that the joints will loosen a bit over time.

The same brand also makes this one, which I use a previous version of (identical except no charging) and it’s terrific:

I’m not sure if it provides the full range of motion you’re after, but if you don’t need a huge range of heights I think it’s worth a look. My sense is that if you want a lot of height flexibility, you’re stuck with a clamp design because it would get too unsteady otherwise.

A clamp will not work in my office desk, but would work on the desk in my home study. I need a stand with a base rather than a clamp.

This one includes a charger also but is cheaper. I wonder why? They seem very similar.

I have this one and really like it, but they note it doesn’t work with the 13 - I think the cutouts must be different. If you’re still looking this fall, the updated one will likely be fantastic.

I also replaced the hover bar and found it bounced a lot.

That looks promising. Does it rotate?

It does!

Really, it does (>20 characters)

It’s not the cutouts; the magnets in the M4 iPads are arranged differently from those on previous Pros (2018-2022), so none of the old accessories that rely on magnet arrangement fit the new Pros. Up until two weeks ago, only Apple knew what the arrangement was.

I have this and use it for my iPad Pro 11” with the weighted base. It’s easy to switch between the Clamp and the weighted base, a quick flick of a thumb and the arm slides off the base or clamp easily.

Putting an iPad in and out of the clamp isn’t difficult, but it is a two handed operation. You can arrange the ipad at any orientation you need, and one it’s adjusted it stays put.

I did see someone on youtube who bought a Smart cover, cut the back off and glued it onto a correctly sized wooden block (with a cut out for the camera) then screwed the wooden block onto an arm.

It wasn’t this one, but similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jMZtt37vgY

It seemed to work well.

Very good, I may wait for the version that supports the 13”. Thanks for the info!

Mine requires a tool. I looked it up, I have a v1, you apparently have the v2, so maybe my complaints with it were fixed in v2?
