Removing Duplicates in Apple Numbers Spreadsheet

Hello MPU community,

I had a question: Is there a way to automatically parse and remove duplicates from a spreadsheet, particularly in Apple Numbers? I have a huge, long CSV file with 2000+ rows (it’s a mailing list), and I need to remove 100 or so bad contacts from my list. I can export the “bad” list of 100 contacts separate from the main list. So far, the best I can come up with is to copy the “bad” contacts to the bottom of my main list, and then ‘organize’ the spreadsheet by the email address column in the categories organize window. This shows the duplicates pretty easily, but I’d like to make it even faster than manually going through the 2000+ rows and selecting & deleting the duplicates.

Any suggestions on how to do this in Numbers, or even Excel? Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Excel has a Remove Duplicates command on the Data Tab, that should do the trick,
