Reverting to Apples stock apps

Ah, I think I remember the modus operandi, a beautiful lady asks to take a picture with your unlocked phone or snoops your PIN over your shoulder while having drinks. Well that’s certainly something that is not going to happen to me

I presume then, if I were a drinker, I’d be drinking Budweiser? :joy::beers: After all, we’re rather proud of our Clydesdales and the Cardinals at Busch Stadium.

No, you’d probably be drinking beer.

Ooch! :slightly_smiling_face: Well, I may have one up on you. Though I’m not a drinker (for the record I do not consider drinking wrong, I just don’t need the calories or expense :slightly_smiling_face:), when in my ancestral home of Mosbach Germany a few years ago, I partook of a free German beer offered in my honor (per my name). I’m no expert, but it was probably better than most domestic beer.

Boy, has this thread gone off course. :slightly_smiling_face:

Was this…a live bear, or was it prepared for the table in some way?

I wish Mail would play nicer with Gmail aliases. I prefer to be able to send from my aliases but can’t seem to do it in Mail anymore, hence why I use Spark.

And once I have iOS 18, I expect Calendar will move back into my rotation thanks to being able to see details in month view.

:joy: No more than I drink, it probably felt like a “bear” to me!

Long story short, back in the 90’s I was at a meeting one evening at Anheuser Busch and they took us to see the horses. There was a three month old foal that I think they said weighed 300 pounds.

Very impressive animals.

They are! They are fun to watch.

Absolutely Not.

For software, Apple software is used and used well by millions of people. Just because people use third party apps the output is not guaranteed to be better. Heck, Most books are written in MS Word.

That’s the whole point. “Millions of people” generally means the app cuts a swath across the “entry/middle” part of the market.

The existence of bad third-party apps doesn’t prove anything. Tons of third-party apps are garbage, just like there’s beer that’s worse than Budweiser. But there are a few third-party apps that are substantially better for certain use cases than Apple’s apps, because they target a niche segment of the market that Apple would never even try to serve.

I would argue its generally the top and bottom part of the output thats being created by Apple’s stock apps.

You are saying that Apple is best in class with many of their apps?

I am saying Apple apps are used to produce best in class Output.

That’s probably true to some extent, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the app itself and also has nothing to do with what I was saying.

You can produce some pretty awesome output on some pretty garbage apps. If a famous author wrote all of his bestselling novels in TextEdit, that would not make TextEdit a top-tier writing app.

Please don’t insult TextEdit; you’re so smart, but I’m not sure my heart can take it. (I love TextEdit.)

I knew I’d see @Bmosbacker on thread! :grinning:

I would never want to disappoint!
