Out of curiosity and in prep. to start teaching online next quarter, I tried running Zoom on my old iMac. Everything ran surprisingly well but it said my machine didn’t meet the minimum specs for the virtual background. I tried it anyway, which required me to say I had a green screen background even though I don’t. Here’s the result - Jerry Garcia would be proud!

So would Descartes: ghost in the machine.
Isn’t technology wonderful. When I was in college, I’m told it required an illegal substance on a sugar cube to see something like that.
