On macOS Sequoia, I can still click on the padlock icon to view the details of the SSL certificate protecting the website. But when I try to do this on my iPhone or iPad running iOS 18, it just turns into a search field. There does not seem to be any way to view the cert on iOS. Am I missing something? How long has this been removed from iOS?
AFAIK iOS Safari has never been able to display this information. You will need to use an app or a website to verify SSL
I was wondering the same recently and indeed downloaded an app instead.
Would like to know if there is/was a native solution.
I could’ve sworn I’ve done this on iOS in the past, but maybe I used an app. I usually just use my Mac for this, but recently only had my iPad and iPhone on hand.
Found this app to do the SSL lookup on iOS. I must’ve downloaded it in the past since it had the cloud icon in the app store.
