Installed the Beta. The ScanSnap hHome software (with my ScanSnap ix1500) hangs at the processing file step, which appears to be a known probe, So I installed NAPS2, which was recommended as a substitute. Scans fine but I can’t save any files. Save All or Cmd-S does nothing. I can also not set default paths in the PDF settings; clicking on the three dots does nothing. I gave it Full Disk access, so I don’t think it’s a privileges issue.
Has anyone here seen this? Is this a MacOS 27 beta specific issue or a general problem with NAPS? My AI Overlords had no meaningful advice to offer.
Still better than nothing because I can use Cmd-P/Cmd-P to save the scans.
FYI: The problem I mentioned with NAPS2 in the original post was fixed in version 8.3.2 of the app. Now it looks like a perfectly find free alternative to ScanSnap. What doesn’t work — obviously—are the buttons on the printer’s display, so I will probably go back ti ScanSnap if and when they have a version compatible with MacOS 27.
