I’ve recently had the need to scan a bunch of scholarship applications and submit the text to various programs. I found the OCR’d text to be extremely poor. However, when I manually submitted the scanned document to ABBYY Fine Reader for ScanSnap (which is supposed to be used by the scanner) the OCR is perfect. I have the ix1500 set to scan the documents as B&W and have the image quality set to BEST. I saw that there was a topic related to this quite a while ago. Has anyone seen any resolutions?
