Share Tech. Christmas Ideas

I thought it would be interesting and helpful to have a thread where we can share tech gift ideas to consider. As you list these, if you have time, please post a link with your recommendations. Anything that is tech qualifies, e.g, a pen is technology. I’ll start with one recommendation.

I just got a Eufy Robovac 30C, it’s working great for me!

Home automation wise:

  • IKEA smart blinds
  • Aqara sensors and the hub, readily available from Amazon - but the sensors can be had cheaper on AliExpress.
  • Nanoleaf lights, the new Shapes stuff looks awesome, I have the original triangular panels with the rhythm module.

Anker batteries. If you know someone without a battery pack, a battery and cable makes a great gift.

Based on your recommendation I ordered a Roomba i8+ from Costco for $579. I think (and am hoping) this is the same as the i7+ ($799) but with a larger capacity battery and a few extra accessories. Thanks for the recommendation.

I decided to get my wife the iPhone 12 Max Pro instead of hte iRobot® Roomba® i7 (7150). Something tells me she’ll like the iPhone more. :slight_smile:

I’ve just ordered “Twinkly” Christmas - they’re HomeKit compatible and the idea is you map your tree with the app and can then animate it. This is going to be fun! :nerd_face:
