I’m very disappointed with the time-of-day trigger. I want the shortcut to trigger without any input from me. At this time, it will trigger at the time I specify, but I have to tell it to run.
For example, I have used the Backup Shortcuts workflow for some time. I used Launch Center Pro to trigger at 3 PM on Friday afternoon. No matter where I was, as long as I had wifi or cellular, it ran in the background and sent me a notification that it was done. I thought that I could accomplish the same thing with the shortcuts automation, but it didn’t happen. It doesn’t do me any good to have to pull my phone out of my pocket and tell it to run while I am driving on the highway.
So, Launch Center Pro still has a prominent place in my iOS workflow for any time-based triggers I need.
