Shrink Apple Music Mini Player?

I don’t think I’m imagining this but the Apple Music mini player used to be smaller on the Mac. I’ve checked all of the preferences but I cannot find a way to make it truly “mini.” I hope I’m just missing a setting. Can I make the mini player smaller? It takes up half of the screen at the bottom.

Mine takes up about 1/7 of the screen at the bottom. Maybe you have yours stretched out. Put you cursor at either end of the mini player. The cursor should turn into an arrow. Change length to the size you want.
