I read an article in PCWorld describing how to use Siri AI to create a daily briefing shortcut. I used the suggested prompt, made a few modifications, and ended up with a daily brief automatically generated and added to Apple Notes. Very nice!
Here is the initial suggested prompt:
Give me a daily digest of the weather, my calendar events, and reminders, and triage my email and messages.
Here is the redacted result after my modifications:
Nice! I also make use of the laptop-only list (and soon, the desktop-only list.) It helps me to batch up the more intense work that form factor requires.
For the weather, it’d be nice to get a small graphic instead of the bullets, or maybe to only show some of those bullets when significant.
Please link directly to PCWorld. In Europe we have no “Apple News”.
I’m very interested to know if this would also work for me. I have my calendar locally in Thunderbird and use Joplin as a TODO manager. Both are open source software. Or does it only work if you’re in the Apple ecosystem?
