This is stupid that Siri Shortcuts can’t access the location when the app isn’t in foreground. That means I can’t ask for weather using the DarkSky API by using voice and invoking Siri!

Any reason invoking the API is preferable to having Siri just ‘Open Dark Sky’?
The DarkSky API is part of a much larger workflow that polls multiple data and speaks out a collated data set. For example, charge percentage of my device, upcoming calendar events, weather, chances of rain, travel time to work etc.
Well… in Europe the Dark Sky app isn’t available, but what we can do is accessing the API to kinda build our own weather service based on DS data…
