Smart Keyboard “Escape”

I have the Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro. The biggest issue I am facing is that there is no escape key.

Is there a keyboard equivalent to close modal dialogs? I dislike having to take my hands off the keyboard just to press a “cancel” link.

For closing modal dialogs on IOS, it has been reported that:

⌘ + . (Command + period)

works (similar to OSX)

This is a long-established Apple design decision; there has never been an ESC on an iOS keyboard.

In Vim

control + [

accomplishes the equivalent.

Also try:

Control+Option+Accent

which performs the Escape VoiceOver function

On the Logitech Keys-To-Go Bluetooth keyboard you can try

FN key + F1
