Can I find something to plug into my MacBook Pro that will allow me to run daisychained monitors (has to be display port, I believe) rather than having to run two hdmi cables from my mac? Is this really not a solved problem? would the usb-c to thunderbolt 2 apple adapter do this?
I use a Thunderbolt 3 dock to connect multiple monitors to my MBP. It’s not daisychaining, but it does allow me to plug everything in (including power) with just one cable.
Which one do you use?
I use Belkin Thunderbolt 3 docks (one at home and one at work) and they work well. When I got my MBP in 2017 they were one of the only ones that could deliver the 85W needed for the 15” MBP. There may be other options out there now.
