I’m not impressed at all. Siri still doesn’t do many things. At least for me it failed at the following:
- Still doesn’t know what’s on the screen
- Maintain context across 2-3 requests
- Sometimes doesn’t listen to follow up questions at all.

That’s not my quote there, but I agree on the importance of the security patches (although the bricking of M4 iPads this year gave me a bit of pause when updating my devices to iOS 18).
I’m very sorry about that. I was using Drafts to save links, etc. and must have mixed things up.
It’s early, AI is rolling out in phrases. My understanding is that more significant Siri improvements are coming later.
@Bmosbacker As a musician, I get that, but it was a great show and you were knowledgeable and friendly. I’m also an academic (U of SC) and there was lots that I will explore.
You’re kind, thank you.
Well in Europe we have a waitlist until May 2025
Oddly enough, it shows up under settings. I suspect, if it has not already happened, that the waitlist will be removed.
Can you give an example of what you were asking it to do?
I took this photo and asked it to define Congragationalist and it understood and gave me the definition. I’m honestly unsure if Siri could’ve done that before bc I’ve long since stopped trying to get it to be useful!
I thought it was April 2025?
Give or take a week
