Stars or Favorites in Overcast

What do you use stars or favorites in Overcast for? Any reason to use it?

I think their only purpose is to let other Overcast users know that you like that podcast.

I use it as a temporary note to myself. I usually listen to podcasts while driving, but I will star or favorite a podcast so I don’t delete it. That’s a note to myself that there is something I want to do, follow a link, share the podcast, take a note, download a reference, etc. Once I’ve done that, I delete the podcast.

I wish we could create a smart playlist based on eps that are starred.

I assumed it is used to promote episodes/podcasts to show up in the recommended podcasts section when someone clicks the + button to search for a podcast to download/subscribe from people you follow (or follow you in this case) on Twitter.

Alright thanks everyone. I was thinking maybe there were some interesting workflows there using favorites :blush: but thanks for your input :blush:
