Sticker fades on Silver vs Space Grey Macs

Hey all,

My wife’s Space Grey MacBook Air (hand me down from myself) has some fading from a couple of stickers I had on it. I understand this is annoying, but normal.

That being said, most (all?) of the examples of this I can find are on Space Grey Macs. Does anyone have any insight or experience on whether the silver models are immune to this?

Not totally immune for sure. Because I’ve bought used silver MacBooks in the past with stickers that left an unremovable silhouette.

dbrand and other companies make skins for MacBooks. That might be one solution.
