For a while now I frequently finds calendar events with links to fake invoices, tech support calls etc.
They are send to my Google Workspace account (Gmail) and somehow automatically get added to my calendar where I have to decline them.
I have been looking in the settings for Calendar.app, Google Calendar. Non of the Siri functions is enabled etc.
You’ve probably found this “To stop calendar appointments from being automatically added to your Google Calendar, go to your calendar settings, find the section for ‘Automatically add invitations,’ and select ‘No, only display the invitations to which I have replied.’ This will ensure that only events you have accepted will appear on your calendar.”
Have you accidentally subscribed to an online calendar which is adding these into your Calendar
If I change the setting, would I still see the calendar invite when my executive assistant creates a calendar event on my calendar? I need to be sure that I see those whenever she creates them.
I’ve been getting spam emails that are correctly put in the junk folder, but they have a flag on, so it appears in my flagged emails list. It seems these scammers and spammers are getting more clever by the day.
I was not able to find the exact setting you mentioned on our business account, but I did change a setting as shown below. Before it was set to everyone.
