Normally, when I need to get back to “today” I quickly click on “today.” When doing that a few moments ago, for some reason I clicked and held for a second on the “Today” icon. When I did, it brought up the “Go to date” pane. Pretty niffty. Of course “Shift+CMD+T” does the same thing but if your hands are already on the trackpad/mouse, this works well.
