When I use my iPhone for a call while I’m in my office near my MacBook Pro, when I hang up from the call, Apple Music launches on the Mac and the song Crossroads by Cream starts auto-playing. This has been happening for months. I think it’s some sort of Continuity bug but I cannot figure out how to stop it. Any ideas?
I’ve never heard of that happening, but apparently Google has:
"The behavior where Apple Music launches and starts playing on your Mac after hanging up an iPhone call is likely due to Handoff, a feature that allows seamless continuation of activities between your iPhone and Mac. Here’s how to address this:
Disable Handoff:
On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff and turn off Handoff.
Alternatively, on your Mac, you can disable Handoff in System Settings > General > Allow Handoff."
Thank you, @wayneg. I use Continuity Camera so I think I can’t turn off Handoff.
The biggest mystery is why is it always the song Crossroads? I am sure that I never had that song cued up, so it’s as though the Mac is choosing it specifically. I listen to plenty of other songs via Apple Music during the day, but for this bug, it’s always Eric Clapton.
