Synching someone's Outlook calendar into Apple Calendar

Got a weird issue. Trying to help out a friend.

Husband uses Outlook (MS Exchange). He wants to share his calendar with his wife, but not give any permissions to change anything - just the ability to view it (and have it stay in sync).

Ideally, it can be viewed in Apple Calendar on Mac and iPhone.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

• Log in to the account in outlook.com
• Settings > Calendars > Shared calendars > Publish the calendar.
• Paste the .ics link to his wife. She’ll add it in Calendar in File > New Calendar Subscription. If she adds it to her iCloud account instead of On My Mac, it’ll also appear in her phone’s Calendar app.
