Tech Support for PC?

Mac Power Users forum is great and so many active users that contributes!

I am now wanting to setup a mini PC with Proxmax with pfSense, TrueNAS and Window 11.

Do you guys know of any PC based forum that’s as good/helpful as Mac Power Users forum? Appreciated.

I’d actually be curious about knowing this as well. I recently built myself a PC to act as a full NAS/homelab to replace my aging Mac Mini. The PC is built with Proxmox and TrueNAS setup but time has prevented me from migrating everything over. That and the fans that came with the case are waaaaaayyy too loud hahahaha.

I will say it was fun to get back into building again. I hadn’t done that since the late 2000s.

Combination of Perplexity AI and reddit honestly.

PS: I think you meant Proxmox (not max)

Second this, alongside some YouTube follow along videos for setting up etc. I think it is best to follow something like that initially if you’re unsure just to make sure that you get the base config nailed etc.

Ya, I am going for a mini PC instead. The case is essentially a heatsink and has a low speed fan. Suppose to draw only 10W when idle.

My last build was when mining crypto via GPU was still profitable… that’s is now long over…

I am looking forward to this!

The troubleshooting aspect will be harder with just YouTube.

I suppose AI might have an answer if I frame the question properly.

Still, there must be a PC based forum out there!!!
