Terminal Alternatives

I’ve been a Terminal user for a long time until recently when AI took off and multiple terminals is a new norm. I’ve been then switched to iTerm2 and started to use it as my daily driver. Soon enough I found myself frustrated with it too. Feels bloated, settings are like a deep forest. Each time I want to adjust something took me minutes to find a setting. Half of the time I ended up googling how to do stuff. Then I though - why can’t I build an alternative?

Here is my minimalistic and opinionated terminal emulator I built for my humble use of coding CLIs - mTerm — a native macOS terminal. I’ve been using it myself for a few weeks now and smoothed out few bumps here and there. If you are a fun of a good terminal - give it a try. Looking for a feedback and suggestions.

I’ve looked at a few commit messages; they are extremely long…

So vibe-coded?

Why should people try this instead of Ghostty?

(How is mTerm better/different?)
