@MacSparky : since you do not have a comments section on your blog, I am going to share here two quick comments:

  1. I applaud your fandom (The Dharma Initiative Uses Apple — MacSparky). I was a latecomer to show and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Back when I was teaching a microcontroller class I used a video clip showing Desmond entering the numbers before the world would self destruct as a “real world” example of the operation of the microcontroller watchdog timer. See here if you don’t get the reference Watchdog timer
