This morning’s task is to pick up my MacMini from the Apple Store Geniuses. I have a thread/rant on the display issue going - but the culprit appears to be irremovable beta firmware that may have been installed when I set up Big Sur on an external drive.
Thought I was being cautious with the beta on the ssd only but not finding/reading the fine print, I am going to spend the day rebuilding my Mac Mini from scratch. I was told not to use any backups images to restore the machine so the CCC clone, Backblaze and Time Machine copies are out. Fortunately key files are also on dropbox and sharepoint but…
