The most powerful and connected device in your life shouldn’t be within arm’s reach at all times

I have an Apple Watch on until I go to bed, so I can see who is calling no matter where I am in the house.

I suppose I have an Apple Watch, too. Most of the family doesn’t, though.

Yes, I agree. That’s a good way to put it. Use of a powerful computing device should be intentional, and deliberate and focused. When we allow all that power to bleed into all parts of our lives, I think the power tends to be used against us, rather than by us and for us.

I am waiting for Apple Watch/iPad or Mac Integration so that I can ditch the phone.

I’m finding my 5G Apple Watch 9 a big help. I can still receive and place calls and texts, set alarms and timers, etc., but I doesn’t easily turn into a rabbit hole the way smartphones and larger devices can.
