The Windows Laptop Problem—Brownlee

Like many in this forum, I cut my computer teeth using IBM and Dell computers. I do not miss the stickers, and if I were still using Wintel machines, I would be extraordinarily frustrated being confronted with ads while trying to do my work. I think Brownlee is correct. The Neo is going to represent a significant challenge to the makers of Windows-based computers.

Even Windows users may benefit from the Neo. If it is the reason that MS has started listening to them. :grinning:

Perhaps, but Microsoft needs to fix more than where you can locate the taskbar. :joy:

True. But Windows is still the 800 lb gorilla and most people have to use it.

Honestly, probably that’s my biggest gripe with Windows 11. I don’t get ads in mine (neither the corporate laptop nor my personal Thinkpad running Win11 Pro), and the OS mostly stays out of my way. Yes, settings and whatever Control Panel turned into are a mess but I use those very rarely.
