The world’s first medieval electronic instrument

Idk that I’ll ever buy this, but I love that it exists and I really want to play with it for a couple of hours:

Credit to Jason Kottke’s blog for bringing it to my attention

Teenage Engineering are basically nuts. They are known for strange musical products that basically make no sense but are either very fun (see OP-1, very successful) or very absurd (see the CH8 series of wireless vocal synthesisers which allow you to build your own creepy synthetic choir for less than 2000€).

The EP-1320 medieval seems to be the EP-133KO with a custom set of samples oriented toward medieval music (:-?). The attention to detail is mind-numbing, the sound library, the website, the user manual… even the 10-segment LCD display has a custom medieval design!!

It’s absurd, it’s expensive, but I love it.
